Rage of the Sun by SilFoe Rage of the Sun by SilFoe
This wasn't intended to be a Solar Flare/Blazing Corona/Whatever-you-like-to-call-Nightmare-ified-Celestia, but if you prefer to think of it that way, go ahead.

In truth, it was meant to be an extension of this old one: silfoe.deviantart.com/art/In-D…

Just with Celestia far far angrier. Somebody is threatening the lives and safety of her innocent ponies and she's not gonna let them get away with it.

Honestly as a Celestia fan, this makes me sad. It's a Fantastic piece, and its very well done, but Its also my beloved Princess going berserk. This is in no way a negative opinion, in fact it is a positive one. To elicit such emotion is the purpose of Art. Well done.

That was actually the idea behind this one, in a way. Anything that could Celestia get this mad has got to be absolutely awful and seriously threatening a lot of ponies' lives. As much as I love Celestia looking like a badass, it's definitely an absolute last resort to her.

Indeed. Thank you again for this wonderful, but heartbreaking piece. You have got a lot of talent!

Not pictured: everyone ever to call her "Sunbutt" running for their lives.

Is everything you draw totally epic?

No, sometimes I like to draw cute and/or shipping. But epic is definitely a favorite.

she had warned them.
it had been only a week since last she saw her dear Twilight.
she had warn them so many times.
twilight had been beaten and bruised, violated, along with her friend applejack and a young unicorn that was simply in the wrong place and wrong time.
Give them back, that is what she pleaded, demanded.
their hooves were bound, a ball bridle gagged them, muffling the desperate pleas of the unicorn involved.
yet they would not listen, and defied her, intent on destroying what she had birthed.
their legs weak and shaking, celestia's little ponies had nooses around their necks, an executioner at the lever that would strangle thier lives away.
They did not listen.
the eyes of her beloved daughter locked with her's, eyes once sparkling with life and love dull and pained.
they would not yield.
hope returned to her eyes when she saw celestia, but it was short lived.
they would sufffer for it.
fear swelled in Twilight's eyes, for she saw not a kind and gentle teacher, but a war goddess of fire, and malice.
they would know fear.
the lance swung, releasign a wave of flame that severed the gallows.
they would know pain.
the gallows burned with prismatic flame, crumbling to cinders. the Executioner fled, but was felled by a beam of fiery red light.
they would see destruction's very face.
the little pones cringed in fear as Celestia landed, unable to recognize their ruler. they stumbled and huddled together. fluid flooded from
Twilight legs.
most of all.
the blaze embodied paused, the sterile white glow receding from her eyes. she looked at her daughter and her little ponise, even as guards hesitantly approached. their apperance hurt her so, but the fear hurt her far more, and she thought of simply leaving with them then and there.......... till she realized that some of the fluid that had escaped her child was not urine........ noticed the swell in her and the young farmer's bellies.

they would burn.

the inferno roared, and unleashed her malice upon her enemies. the owuld only be the first to fall.
